About Amanda
I work with adults who are tired of leaving therapy with insight that does not survive contact with daily life. You may understand what needs to change and still be unable to initiate the task, set the boundary, or have the conversation once competing demands and nervous-system activation enter the picture.
Much of my practice includes ADHD and neurodivergence, where the practical difficulty is often accompanied by years of criticism and the expectation that greater effort should solve everything. I also work with caregivers and healthcare professionals whose capacity has been eroded by sustained responsibility, helping them build recovery around the reality of their lives rather than another idealized routine they cannot maintain.
As a certified sex therapist, I provide informed talk therapy for concerns involving desire, intimacy, sexual health, and relationship dynamics. These topics are frequently carried in silence for far too long, so I approach them directly and without judgment while remaining clear about clinical scope and when medical care should also be involved.
Amanda's therapeutic philosophy
I draw from cognitive behavioural, mindfulness-based, and narrative therapies, using enough structure that the work produces practical experiments outside the room. When ADHD or burnout is involved, we build systems around the way your attention and capacity actually function rather than treating difficulty as a character problem.
In sex therapy, I combine accurate information with careful attention to anxiety, shame, and the relationship pattern surrounding the concern. The approach is collaborative, talk-based, and specific to what you want to understand or change.
